| This year’s Golden Joystick awards have just wrapped up at the Park Plaza hotel in London and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim emerged as this year's big winner.
Bethesda’s gargantuan RPG took home three awards. As well as “Best RPG” and “Top Gaming Moment” (for Throat of the World) Skyrim also scooped the “Ultimate Game of the Year” award.
Meanwhile, EA Sports’ long running football franchise FIFA was honoured for its "Outstanding Contribution," as voted for by the public. FIFA 12 also picked up Best Sports Game, while there was further EA triumph as Battlefield 3 won Best Shooter.
Elsewhere, Batman: Arkham Asylum won "Best Action / Adventure Game," Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition won “Best Downloadable,” Uncharted: Golden Abyss won "Best Handheld Game," and Rockstar were awarded the “One to Watch” price thanks to GTA V.
