The new mystery Gears of War game is being developed in part by Bulletstorm creator People Can Fly, Epic Games president Mike Capps revealed today on Twitter. Responding to a question of whether or not the Warsaw, Poland-based developer had any involvement with the new game, Capps responded energetically, "YES YES YES!"


People Can Fly is working on the next Gears of War game.


People Can Fly is no stranger to the Gears of War franchise. Before creating Bulletstorm, the studio developed the much-praised PC version of the original Gears of War. In April, Capps told GameSpot that People Can Fly did initial work on a Bulletstorm sequel, but Epic decided to shelve that project in favor of "a project that was a better fit" for the studio.

Yesterday, Game Informer revealed that a new Gears of War game was in development and shared only one teasing image of the project. Further details on the game will be made available during Microsoft's 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing, scheduled for Monday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m. PDT.

Game Informer has revealed that the new game is titled Gears of War: Judgment. Additionally, the magazine posted images of two versions of its next cover, which features younger (or at least less grizzled) versions of series staples Baird and Cole.

I was going to say Baird but then I thought why would it be him! Oooohhhhhh so exciting but just hope it's not a Racoon city!!!!

Wow, now I'm really pumped!

I love both Cole and Baird, so I'm glad they're focusing on those two characters for this game.....those guys crack my $h!+ up!!!!

In the history of computer games, to the best of my knowledge, they have never done a spin off series of the bad guys, so what made you think they would do one for the locust?? Would make no sense nor be any good.

Just heard about the new multiplayer mode. It's called Overrun, and it's basically what a lot of people have been asking for: Horde Vs. Beast multiplayer!! From what I've read, it's class based (i.e. medic heals, engineer makes fortifications, soldier provides ammo, etc.) and just sounds cool as all hell!!! They did say that the Berzerker will NOT be available, due to balance issues, which makes sense to me. I for one cannot wait to play this game!!!!!!

like wise lads bein doin alot of research on this and it looks impressive tho some slight changes to game play which cud be a mistake as gears 3 is grand

Giving this game to (Epic owned) People Can Fly is a good move I reckon. Fresh blood is often a good thing and in all honesty the campaigns in Gears 2 & 3 never reached the brilliance of the first game. Just compare that awesome Raam battle to the boss fights in 2 & 3.

The Bulletstorm campaign was fantastic and personally I found it far more enjoyable storywise than either of the last two Gears games. How much of their input will be allowed into the game story however is another matter.

I really like the sound of the class based multiplayer.
I reckon the game is in safe hands and if Clify B is serious in his comments about making the stories more serious then this could be a real cracker. Can't wait

so the bvh mode, how exactly will it look like???
