First WWE '13 Screenshots Leak Onto the Square Circle Cover

It looks as though this year, WWE '13 will be going with CM Punk as its cover star and focus after last year saw Randy Orton posing for the box art. And these first leaked screenshots also go heavy on the straight-edge action, showing CM Punk performing some of his high risk moves.

These nine leaked screenshots come from xbox.com, which also carries a description for this year's iteration in THQ's popular wrestling franchise. Apparently, WWE '13 will be bringing a grittier attitude into the ring, as well as an all-new story mode.

"Relive the Attitude Era of WWE in an all-new, breakthrough, story mode," reads the blurb. "The new WWE Live presentation system features a completely overhauled audio system and Spectacular Moments. WWE ’13 will be the boldest, smoothest, and most immersive, WWE simulation to date."

So there you have it. First last week's leaked WWE '13 video and now this. WWE '13 is set for release on November 1st, 2012. You can check out the first nine screens in the gallery, and a handful of the shots featuring the likes of Big Show, Chris Jericho, Mark Henry, Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin below. And is that Mankind that Stone Cold is stomping?

It won't be a patch on Smackdown Here Comes the Pain though. Why can't they just follow the same formula? Remeber all the hours we spent playing that Dave? Good times!
