Looks like work on Mass Effect 3‘s Extended Cut is well underway. Three of the game’s voice actors have confirmed that they are returning to the studio to lay down fresh voice tracks.
Those actors include Lance Henriksen who plays Admiral Hackett. Speaking on the subject, and alluding to the game’s controversial conclusion,
he said “I just did another session with them. They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending.”
“So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.”
Meanwhile, EDI voice actor Tricia Helfer and Raphael Sbarge who plays Kaiden Alenko, also confirmed their return. Sbarge
tweeted, “Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep pulling me back in Mass Effect. Recording.”
Unless you’ve been hidden under a rock in Eden Prime, you’ll know that fans reacted angrily to Mass Effect 3‘s conclusion, forcing Bioware to consider supplementing the trilogy’s conclusion. The Extended Cut, to release as free DLC, hopes to do just that.
