Sky question for UK residents Empty
PostSubject: Sky question for UK residents   Sky question for UK residents EmptySat Aug 11, 2012 7:04 pm

We've just had sky Tv and Broadband fitted today and I'm just wondering how long it takes for the internet to be turned on, I was told we have to wait for a BT engineer to come out and sort the phone line out, but I would have thought that would have been first before the Sky guy came out. Any help would be great Smile

Also once the BT line is active how long does it normally take for it all to be up and running?

It depends on whether you are reactivating the line or starting a new one but you could be looking at about 3 weeks.

But hey you're getting proper internet. cheers

We won't be keeping the sky tv, That load of shit will be gone once Nikki's step-dads contract runs out, they are transfering it over to our house as it's free set up for a move (so we don't have to pay £130 to bt to get our line activated) plus we where told because of our area our signal would be shit so it means we don't have to sign up to 12 month contract just to have worse internet then the dongle.

But they are on sky tv and broadband package for 2 more months (once its all set up and activated here) then they can cancel their package and we can get broadband if its decent signal.

Anyway thats whats happening and Publik we have the phone line all in and stuff the guy said, we just need the BT guy to come out and check it or something, we got a letter saying our activation date would be 12th sept, I couldn't believe it tho since today the sky guy put everything in ready for us, surly BT don't take a whole month to come out? what a piss take that is!!! Sad was looking forward to having internet while on summer holiday Sad well I've waited over a year to get internet so an extra month won't make much difference, lol.

Just in time for being able to do borderlands 2 co-op Smile GET IN!!! Lol

They drag their heels when the contract isn't taken out with them. They're a pain in the arse.
